CA58 Shasta Rose
Mount Shasta dominates the landscape for 150 miles in northern California. With no other mountains nearby, it abruptly rises 10,000 feet above the valley floor. While this mountain can be the setting for dramatic lenticular clouds, on this evening the setting was clear skies allowing for a good view of a moon two days from being full. The sun which is nearly set in this exposure, casts a red glow on Mount Shasta.
